I'll be finishing my apps just in time to join in the 'tuen nihn' family celebrations! My aunt and uncle are having 30 friends & family members over for the tradition year-end dinner. I'll be meeting my Uncle's family for the first time.

excerpt from an emailI am running out of steam. Luckily, things have been going well. But it's been tough going the last few hours. My left eye is twitching. And it won't stop. I'm not kidding!
I'm pretty sure it's twitching at 75 hertz, the refresh rate of my monitor. After staring at computer monitors for 16 hours a day for the last week, my eyes are now only capable of viewing at 75 hertz.
My co-worker told me left eye twitching is good luck (not sure what right eye twitching means...perhaps an aneurism). When he heard that it's been twitching non-stop for the last 48 hours, he immediately took me to buy lottery tickets. I owe him 10% if I win.
FYI, there's no tax on lottery winnings here. And I just realized I have no idea where to check lottery numbers. Heck, I don't even know when the drawing is. My math prof in high school described lotteries as a 'Tax for the numerically challenged'. But hey, I've got my lucky eye going for me...and it's still going and going and....
ok, back to work...maybe my eye twitching luck will carry over to my application admissions (twitch...twitch twitch...)
